STILL, STANDING
Still, Standing is an evolving project about the places in Poland from which my grandparents emigrated in the early 1920s. They never returned because the Nazis killed the rest of our family and everyone related to their life there.
By taking photographs in a country that ceased to exist for my grandparents, I create visceral depictions that embrace the timelessness and metaphor of family lore while exploring a complex country still in progress.
